"The Club Began"

First State Corvair Club started in 1982 after Herb and Nancy Brown bought a 1960 4-door Corvair 500.  They bought the car in 1978 but enjoyed it so much they decided they would like a Corvair Club of their own in the area.

Herb and Nancy still own that car and just retired their officer positions with FSCC after many years of service, but remain involved in club activities.  First State Corvair Club has grown in membership to to over 35 members today.     The club has an annual car display where Corvair owners from around the region are invited to attend. The club also participates in shows and parades in the area and also contributes to the area by devoting part of it's time cleaning up the roadside.

It is a great group of fun loving vair owners that loves to get together whether it's to drive their cars, attend the annual Christmas party, or just sit down and talk.

The club meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at Nucar Chevrolet located at 172 N. DuPont Highway, New Castle, Delaware, 19720.  Meetings are held upstairs in the dealership break room.
